Our architecture firm incorporates our clients wishes into the overall design, taking care to integrate it with the landscape and surrounding views from their property. Throughout every phase of a project, from the first initial design sketch to the final punch list item at the end of the construction process, our team gives considerate thought to every detail so our clients can truly enjoy unique spaces based from their initial aspirations.

Management

  • ROBERT CARTER, AIA

    project architect

    Robert Carter (Bob) has been surrounded by design and construction his entire life. This foundation led to a career in architecture and he now holds licenses in several states. He has worked on residential, commercial and institutional projects for over 35 years, and his extensive field experience in construction as a licensed general contractor enhances his ability to successfully translate design into function.

  • JASON LETHAM

    project manager / intern architect

    Jason is a lifelong resident of Teton Valley and the Grand Teton Region, rearing in him an admiration of its beauty and an understanding of its great potential. His varied professional background includes 18 years of Architectural Design, 17 years in Building Construction and 15 years as a Building Official and Home Inspector. Jason received his Bachelor’s Degree in Art and his Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho in 2001. Jason is known for his beautiful designs and experience in high-end residential, commercial, and resort architecture. He focuses in on the specific needs of our clients and how best to incorporate their desires into a functional and creative design.

  • R. BENJAMIN YOUNG, P.E.

    Structural Engineer

    Ben has 13 years of experience in the Construction Industry including; wood framing, structural concrete, and general contracting.  With having such an open background this has given him a strong foundation on which to shape his Structural Engineering training and expertise.  Ben received both his Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Emphasizing in Structures from Montana State University – Bozeman.  Ben is our in-house Structural Engineer, this enables him to have a profound influence on the structural soundness and integrity of each project while collaborating with the design team and the client to provide a confident Residential or Commercial Structure.

     

  • AMBER ROUNDS

    intern architect

    With 11 years of experience working in design and project manager in the Teton Valley area, Amber brings a solid understanding of the architectural process and a strong commitment to quality work. Her management approach is characterized by ongoing communication with the design team and client, in a spirit of collaboration that brings forth the best ideas and coordination to ensure that the clients intent is well-executed with professional input.

  • NIKKIE STEVENS

    intern architect / interior designer

    Nikkie brings with her an Interior Designer's vision to our team here at Stillwater. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design with over 6 years experience specializing specifically in high end kitchen and bath design. Nikkie enjoys working directly with our clients to gain a better understanding of their specific needs and wishes for their private residences. She especially loves the custom work the firm does for our clients and the friendships she creates working side by side with them.

  • TIM CHRISTENSEN

    intern architect

    Tim has worked and been around construction his whole life and has a sound understanding of building systems. He has pursued education in Construction Management and Architecture at BYU-Idaho and The University of Idaho. Through his collegiate experience, a passion for design was instilled in him, along with a heightened understanding of the built environment. Tim hopes to one day design the perfect building.

  • VALERIE CHURCH

    intern architect/interior designer

    Valerie Church grew up in western Idaho where she developed an interest in design at a very young age. The desire to design took her to Utah State University where she achieved a Bachelor's degree in interior design. She loves to create new spaces and see them come to life in the built environment.

  • SHEENA MCKENNA

    intern architect

    With a degree in Architectural Technology Sheena has 11 years of experience as an intern architect and project manager. She has been involved in a variety of project types, ranging from public education, commercial, residential and remodel projects. Sheena has an eye for detail and precision and is particularly interested in design and the creative aspect of each project.

  • RACHEL KUNZ

    intern architect

    Rachel joined the Stillwater Team in 2013 and in that short time has become an integral part of the team. Her eye for design and creativity is a benefit for her team and the clients she works with. She works hard to make sure the projects she works on are something the clients will love for years to come.
